Elvis Week 2022 takes place August 9-17, and marks the 45th anniversary of Elvis Presley’s passing. The official Elvis Week celebration is held at Graceland, Elvis’s famed estate. While there are many Elvis-related events and activities that take place throughout the week, no celebration of Elvis would be complete without Elvis impersonators.

Elvis impersonators didn’t become mainstream until after the singer’s death in 1977. Elvis’s style is so recognizable that even unconvincing impersonators will still be identifiable to people on every continent.

The continued popularity of Elvis impersonation is a testament to Elvis’s impact on both the entertainment world and culture as a whole.
