The Time is Right for Social Work

Every March during National Social Work Month we recognize the empathy and hard work social workers display in their service as advocates, advisors, counselors, and facilitators for the underserved in public settings.

Now is the time to recognize just how important our social workers are to our community well-being, which is why the theme for this year’s Social Work Month is The Time is Right for Social Work!

In long term care settings, social workers focus on key areas such as emotional impact of physical and mental illness or disability. Social workers, together with clinical care practitioners, help ensure that the people in their care achieve the best possible outcomes.
