National Nurses Week: May 6-12

National Nurses Week is a wonderful opportunity to honor the “Mother of Nursing,” Florence Nightingale, and all the dedicated, compassionate nurses who followed her lead. National Nurses Week begins each year on May 6 and ends on May 12, Nightingale’s birthday.

This year’s Nursing Week theme, Nurses Make a Difference, embodies all aspects of their work. Through compassionate care, expertise, and dedication, nurses have a significant impact on the lives of residents, ensuring they receive the highest quality care and support. Their tireless efforts go beyond daily treatment, extending to providing comfort, safety, happiness, companionship, and a sense of security that families and loved ones value and appreciate.

We are incredibly grateful for the significant impact nurses have in senior living communities, enriching the lives of residents and their families every day. Their commitment to making a positive difference through their work is truly inspiring, and we honor and appreciate their contributions that make our communities stronger, healthier, and more caring places for everyone.

This week be sure to show your appreciation for your favorite nurse or nursing staff by expressing your gratitude! This could simply be an uplifting compliment, gift card, flowers, or catered lunch.

From all of our community staff, we want to recognize and honor the dedication of nurses, who work selflessly day and night to help, heal, and care for our residents. THANK YOU!
