Therapy Success Story: Ms. B.

Ms. B was recently hospitalized following a fall with a hip fracture. In the past, she had a stroke effecting the same side she fractured her hip and previously had been diagnosed with COVID. Her level of function for recovery was already limited, plus she needed continued treatment geared toward breathing techniques, increasing lung expansion and increasing her endurance. Ms. B had a lot against her, but was determined to get herself well again. In conjunction with monitoring and treatment from nursing staff, she received aggressive physical and occupation therapy sessions for all aspects that were effect. She had a unique treatment plan and approach, but the outcome was successful. Ms. B is now at a more independent level of function than before her recovery from the stroke, before COVID and before she fell and fractured her hip.
